Conviction by Patterson
15 years after being sentenced to death, Rennell Price met the new lawyer who took over his case, Terri.. whatever..
Through her team's investigation, Terri discovered that the incompetence of previous counsels, selfishness of witnesses and the inabibility to defend for himself had led to Rennell Price being wrongly convicted, for a horrendous crime that he claimed he was never a part of. It is now up to Terri to prove the innocence of Rennell, or at least save him from being executed through lethal injection. She has 52 days to do so.
A thrilling experience brought by Richard North Patterson. The courtroom exchanges were fast and furious, and as the story went on, the dark secrets of the different characters slowly unravel. At times, one can feel the frustration of the lead characters, at the rigidity of the legal system. Set one's mind thinking, but don't think too much, it's just a book.
